In May, MIWC and Evangelion Chorale's Reformation Tour 2017 took the professional chorale and missionary trip associates on a trip throughout Germany and into Poland, following events celebrating the 500th anniversary of Martin Luther's Reformation. While the chorale reached out into the communities they passed with their inspired repertoire – seven concerts in 10 days – they were also able to absorb the historical impact of the cities they visited.

Evangelion Director Tim Sawyer said one of the highlights of the tour was singing their program in the Thomaskirche in Leipzig, Germany (pictured above). Leipzig was home to not only Luther's final Disputation, which confirmed his break with the Roman Catholic church, but was home to Johann Sebastian Bach, making it a most memorable stop for the tour.

"We were privileged to sing for an enthusiastic international audience of over 300 people on a Saturday evening in a busy city. An incredible memory, just inches from Bach's gravesite," said Sawyer.

"We were challenged, stretched, blessed and rewarded by enthusiastic audiences."
