MIWC President at National Conference and Book Release In Ukraine
In late May, MIWC President Steve Benham traveled to Ukraine to participate in several important economic and cultural discussions, as well as to help release a new book to which he contributed.
Benham started the trip at the Institute of Foreign Relations at Taras Shevchenko National University in Kyiv, Ukraine. He participated in a round table discussion at the university's conference titled The Impact of the Reformation on State-building and Economic Development: Lessons for Ukraine.
The round table included several members of parliament and keynote speaker, Dr. Vernon Smith, a strong believer and the 2000 Nobel Prizewinner for Experimental Economics. Many young Christian professors in Ukraine are experiencing significant pressures from the academy and MIWC wanted to encourage and support them as they stand for their faith.
Benham's trip ended with the release of a new book: The Reformation--Success for Europe and a Chance for Ukraine.
"I felt incredibly honored to be part of the writing team for this volume. Olga Romanenko and Roman Sheremeta did an incredible job of editing the work of the entire writing team," Benham said.
