Church Training Program Develops at German Bible Center With Help of MIWC's Janzen

In May, MIWC Associate James Janzen returns to Germany and the European Bible Training Center (EBTC) to continue his work on the development of a training program for church musicians.

EBTC asked MIWC for help in designing MusikDienst, a program focused on developing musical skill, character and theological basis for worship.

Building on the work he accomplished in two previous trips, Janzen will consult for MIWC in two major ways.

Janzen will attend the Hirtenkonferenz, a German version of Grace Community Church's Shepherd’s Conference, May 14-16 to network and build relationships with churches and church leaders associated with the EBTC.

After Hirtenkonferenz, Janzen will meet with Thomas Hochstetter, the director of the MusikDienst program at EBTC. They will continue their work on curriculum and delivery.

Prayer Requests:

  • Pray that Janzen will receive a clearer understanding of the needs of the churches and that his interaction will build increased trust in his teaching and the work of MIWC.
  • Pray for wisdom as Janzen and Hochstetter do detailed work concerning courses, timetable, resources, teachers, practicum, character development and theological integration.
