MIWC'S Nepal Ministry Begins in May
Nepali Christians working to distribute bibles, build churches
Nepali Pastor Ganesh Poudel reached out to MIWC last year to ask for help in bringing biblically-based music and leadership training to his congregation in western Nepal.
After months of online communication and prayer requests exchanged between MIWC and Poudel's church, the prayer partners on both sides look forward to the official beginning of MIWC's ministry in Nepal in May.
MIWC will host a worship and leadership training conference in Dakhnuta, Pakhribas, East Nepal. Jonathan Blackmon, from Missouri Baptist University, will speak at the pastoral conference in Dakhnuta on behalf of MIWC. The conference aims to strengthen the church by training Nepali believers in leadership, worship, music and evangelism and equipping for Gospel ministry and discipleship.
In Nepal, very real needs exist for basic things including the distribution of the Gospel in the Nepali language and construction of church facilities, two things in which Poudel's Sidhuwa Church is currently involved.
Last month, Nepali pastors and church leaders met in Sidhuwa, located in western Nepal, for a three-day conference Poudel said was filled with challenging messages from God's Word, as well as the distribution of bibles to youth lay pastors and leaders.
"Thank you so very much for your kind and encouraging message and prayers," said Pastor Poudel.
