WHERE WE ARE
- MIWC partners with a group of Evangelical churches in Dhankuta District, East Nepal.
- Nepal’s mountainous terrain, punctuated by the famous Himalayans, presents extreme physical obstacles for outreach and ministry.
- A minority in the predominantly Hindu population, Christians face tremendous persecution on both political and religious fronts.
WHAT WE DO
MIWC was invited by a pastor in East Nepal to assist in training church leaders and musicians in Biblical worship and developing their arts ministry for outreach. Since the partnership began, MIWC and the local Evangelical church have worked together to provide physical and financial aid during several health crisis situations, including a flooding disaster and the COVID-19 pandemic.
The local church is actively focused on reaching its neighbors in hard-to-access Himalayan villages, distributing audio bibles to pre-literate people while also attending to their community's health and social needs.
The ministry incorporates diverse song and dance styles and considers the variety of ethnic music styles an essential part of Nepalese culture, representing the soul of the people.
